Efficacy of Fumigant and Nonfumigant Nematicides for Belonolaimus longicaudatus Management in Potato
Plant DiseaseBelonolaimus longicaudatus (sting nematode) is a yield-limiting plant-parasitic nematode in Florida potato production. Fumigation using 1,3-dichloropropene (1,3-D) at 66 kg a.i./ha is a common practice for managing sting nematode, but effective alternatives are needed.

Damage Functions for Sting Nematode (Belonolaimus longicaudatus) on Bermudagrass Turf
International Turfgrass Society Research Journal, 2017Sting nematode (Belonolaimus longicaudatus) is one of the most aggressive and damaging parasites of bermudagrass, a widely used turfgrass in the southeastern United States. A damage threshold model for sting nematode on bermudagrass was developed with data collected during a 2‐yr field trial at multiple locations in South Carolina.

Pest Management Science
AbstractBACKGROUNDSting nematode (Belonolaimus longicaudatus) is a major pest in Florida strawberry fields, which produce most of winter strawberries in the United States. For decades, fumigants were the only nematicides available for strawberries. Recently, fluensulfone and fluopyram were approved for use in Florida strawberry production, offering ...
