Optimizing the Rainwater Harvesting and Roof Sprinkling System to Adapt to Urban Extreme Heat
Abstract Roof watering is a novel strategy for reducing air conditioning energy consumption and mitigating excess urban heat, yet its application is often constrained by water availability. Land‐use change and seasonality shape the taxonomic, functional and phylogenetic diversity of fruit‐feeding butterflies in tropical dry forests. Pastures reduce phylogenetic diversity and increase wing fluctuating asymmetry, while taxonomic and functional diversity is greater in the wet season than in the dry season.

Isotonic tongue endurance was measured pre‐ and post‐meal using the Iowa Oral Performance Instrument (IOPI) in healthy younger (18–35 years) and older (≥ 65 years) adults. Older adults demonstrated greater isotonic endurance and longer mealtimes, with no sex differences in endurance.
