On the feasibility of mounting bender elements in a flexible wall permeameter
Zoned embankment dams comprise some of Canada’s largest and most important infrastructure. A phenomenon that has emerged in recent times as a matter of concern for dam safety risk management is seepage-induced internal erosion in embankment dams and their foundations.

Bender–Knuth Billiards in Coxeter Groups
Let $(W,S)$ be a Coxeter system, and write $S=\{s_i:i\in I\}$ , where I is a finite index set. Fix a nonempty convex subset $\mathscr {L}$ of W. If W is of type A, then $\mathscr {L}$ is the set of linear extensions of a poset,

Practical experience of bender-extender elements
This paper deals with a rather short practical experience of the use of bender elements (2000-2002) and since 2002, of bender-extender elements at the Research Institute in Civil and Mechanical Engineering (GéM). The bender-extender elements are piezo-ceramics transducers set up into a conventional triaxial cell.

This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Dynamic and static measurements of small strain moduli of toyoura sand
Se realizó una serie de ensayos triaxiales en arena de Toyoura con distintas densidades secas. Se aplicaron ciclos muy pequeños de carga y descarga para obtener el modulo de Young estático. Además, como medidas dinámicas, se emplearon dos tipos de
