The prediction and back analysis of excavation behaviour in Oxford Clay. [PDF]
The work described in this thesis involved the prediction and back-analysis of ground movements and pore water pressures around a temporary excavation, lOm deep, 105m long and 35m wide (50m long and lOm wide at its base) in the heavily overconsolidated

ABSTRACT Electronic waste has emerged as a major environmental challenge, driven by the massive consumption and a limited lifetime of modern electronic devices, stimulating the development of sustainable electronics. Here, an all‐biomaterial gelatin‐choline‐citric acid ([Ch][CA]) ionogel is developed as an active binder to realize self‐sintered ...

A soft, dual‐channel hydrogel patch enables simultaneous detection of wound temperature and strain by integrating ion‐diffusion‐mediated thermoelectric and resistive sensing. The conformal design maintains stable performance during motion, capturing subtle inflammatory and mechanical changes for continuous wound monitoring.

A compostable PGS soft surgical robot with interchangeable modules integrates transient Mo tactile and Si thermal sensors for dual feedback. The device preserves its function after clinical‐grade sterilization, demonstrates stable actuation and cardiac tissue grasping with real‐time in vivo pulsatile monitoring, and biodegrades post‐use with soil‐safe,

Effect of sensor rotation on assessment of bender element apparatus
The bender element is one of the most useful geophysical tools used in the laboratory to measure soil dynamics properties in a non-destructive way. However, inconsistent testing procedures may produce unrepeatable test results.

Liquefaction potential of sand with fines using Bender element test
This study aims to evaluate the maximum dynamic shear modulus (Gmax) based liquefaction potentials of sand with various fines using bender element test. The fines (CL) was added to two different particle gradations (0.15-0.30 mm and 1.0-2.0 mm) of clean sand having distinct shapes (rounded and angular) at mixture ratio of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 30% and 40%.

ABSTRACT Traditional wearable exoskeletons rely on rigid structures, which limit comfort, flexibility, and everyday usability. This work introduces the fundamental technologies to create the first soft, lightweight, intelligent textile‐based exoskeletons (Texoskeletons) built using 1D sensors and actuators.
