Anisotropic Shells Bending Analysis
2013In the paper the derivation of anisotropic shells bending equation is conducted. It is also shown that the substitution of material properties which have different values in each direction with those with same value in each direction, leads to the equation of isotropic shell bending. That mainly refers to the modulus of elasticity.

The plate bending problem is one of the first problems analyzed at the beginning of the development of the FEM. For the first time, the mixed formulation of the finite elements, i.e. the mixed method, was applied to this problem [8]. More details on the historical background of the mixed method were given in ch.2.9. The development of the method in the

Plate bending analysis concerns a plate subjected to transverse loadings and/or bending moments. Under this kind of loading conditions, the assumptions made in two-dimensional problems are not valid for plate bending problems which involve all three coordinate variables.

Bending Analysis of Anisotropic Plates
Journal of the Structural Division, 1977The bending analysis of anisotropic plates is considered by the application of the method of lines. In this analysis the governing partial differential equations are replaced by a system of first-order differential equations and then solved by the multisegment numerical integration method.

Right angle bends in light pipes: analysis
Applied Optics, 1976An expression for the fraction of incident radiation transmitted by a right angle bend in a rectangular light pipe is derived. This expression is used to show that, in a planar light pipe structure with right angle bends, light attenuation is due only to reflection losses at the walls if the launching angle is 45 degrees .

Coupled Stretching–Bending Analysis
2010Although the classical lamination theory was developed long time ago, it is not easy to apply this theory to find an analytical solution for the problem with curvilinear boundaries, especially when the laminates are composed of the laminae that will make the in-plane and plate bending deformations couple each other.

Bending Analysis of Piezoelectric Laminates
2001Due to excellent characteristics of piezoelectricity, actuators and sensors made of piezoelectric materials are widely used in smart structures and systems. One kind of smart structures and systems is of multilayer plates which take advantages of the integrated properties of each layer [1,2]. Therefore, analysis of a piezoelectric laminated plate is of

Analysis of Continuous Bending of Thin Plates in Rubber Pad Bending
Key Engineering Materials, 2011In the present work the elastic bending of thin plate resting on rubber pad has been analyzed. The governing differential equations have been derived. An analytical solution to these equations has been presented. In addition numerical solution to these equations has also been worked out by using finite difference method. An equation has been derived to

Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis of Pipe Bends Subjected to Inplane Bending
Volume 3: Design and Analysis, 2016Pipe bends are structural components that provide flexibility to accommodate length changes in pipelines while allowing fluid flow. Estimating the collapse load is critical to ensuring the structural integrity of the pipeline. This research discusses modeling and analysis of pipe bends utilizing the finite element method.

Boundary element for plate bending analysis
Engineering Analysis with Boundary Elements, 1993Abstract This paper is related to the applications of BEM to practical plate bending problems in engineering. Some aspects of the boundary formulations are shown, describing particular characteristics that can be considered to improved numerical solutions.
