Effect of punch angle and punch radius on bend angle through air V-bending of sheet metal
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2019Nowadays, the process of metal forming in the industrial of welding and machinery is developing very rapidly, especially the bending process. In the manufacturing process, bending processes are often carried out to make and repair products such as electronic panel components, automobile vehicle panels, tool-boxes, burning fish, agricultural machinery ...

Stubbed right‐angle H‐plane waveguide bend
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 1995AbstractA stubbed right‐angle H‐plane waveguide bend is proposed and its solution is obtained in analytic series form. The Fourier sine transform is used in the spectral domain to obtain the transmission and reflection coefficients in fast convergent series forms.

Biaxial bending of cold-formed angle members
Canadian Journal of Civil Engineering, 1984Theoretical load–deflection relationships for cold-formed angles under biaxial bending using the Galerkin method are presented. The computational difficulties encountered in the exact solution of differential equations of equilibrium involving 12 unknown constants in 12 simultaneous equations are pointed out. A computer program for pinned-end boundary

SOUND ATTENUATION CHARACTERISTICS OF RIGHT-ANGLE PIPE BENDS
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1999The numerical solution of the interior surface Helmholtz integral equation for toroidal pipes is presented. Acoustic surface pressures of various pipes in the shape of a quarter torus were calculated. Sound attenuation spectra of pipes possessing different bend sharpnesses are presented.

Effect of Bend Angle on Plastic Loads of Pipe Bends Under Internal Pressure and In-Plane Bending
Transactions of the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers A, 2007This paper quantifies the effect of a bend angle of a pipe bend on plastic loads, via small strain and large strain FE limit analyses using elastic-perfectly plastic materials. To consider the effect of the attached straight pipe, two limiting cases are considered.

Bending angle optimization of archwire in orthodontics
Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology, 2012Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that focuses on the study and treatment of malocclusions. Orthodontic treatments commonly involve the insertion of an archwire made from stainless steel or an alloy onto orthodontic brackets, thereby inducing movement of teeth into desired positions.

Changes in forefoot bending stiffness have been shown to affect metatarsophalangeal peak bending angles as well as athletic performance. Increasing bending stiffness tends to reduce peak bending angles, which could potentially reduce hyperextension injuries such as turf toe.

Right-Angle Bends in Thin Strip Conductors
Journal of Applied Physics, 1963Current density and resistance expressions are obtained by means of a conformal transformation for a strip conductor which contains a right-angle bend. The approach, similar to that applied by Cockcroft to the problem of rectangular coaxial capacitors, is sufficiently general to take into account the effects arising both from a width change at the bend

The equivalent capacitances and inductances for microstrip double steps, mitered bends with arbitrary angle, and asymmetric right-angle bends are calculated by tbe moment method. The data for the double step include the coupling effect between the two single steps.

Asymmetric Nanoantennas for Ultrahigh Angle Broadband Visible Light Bending
Nano Letters, 2017Wavefront manipulation in metasurfaces typically relies on phase mapping with a finite number of elements. In particular, a discretized linear phase profile may be used to obtain a beam bending functionality. However, discretization limits the applicability of this approach for high angle bending due to the drastic efficiency drop when the phase is ...
