Carbon nanomaterial‐reinforced epoxy composites exhibit pronounced piezoresistive behavior, enabling intrinsic damage sensing under cyclic and fatigue loading. This review critically compares carbon nanotube and graphene systems, correlating filler content, percolation threshold, and gauge factor with sensing stability and damage evolution.

Doppler Effects from Bending of Light Rays in Curved Space-Times [PDF]
We study Doppler effects in curved space-time, i.e. the frequency shifts induced on electromagnetic signals propagating in the gravitational field. In particular, we focus on the frequency shift due to the bending of light rays in weak gravitational ...

Application of the linear matching method to creep-fatigue failure analysis of cruciform weldment manufactured of the austenitic steel AISI type 316N(L) [PDF]
This paper demonstrates the recent extension of the Linear Matching Method (LMM) to include cyclic creep assessment [1] in application to a creep-fatigue analysis of a cruciform weldment made of the stainless steel AISI type 316N(L). The obtained results

Four‐point bending tests are conducted in an argon atmosphere on commercial MgO‐C brick grades with and without MgO‐C recyclate from room temperature up to 1300 °C. No detrimental effect of the MgO‐C recyclates on bending strength is found. Instead, a decisive influence of the total carbon content is observed, with lower total carbon contents ...

On the thermal bending and twisting of thin skewed plates [PDF]
A solution for pure bending and twisting of thin skewed plates of uniform thickness under a constant temperature moment is obtained by using the basic equations for thermal bending.

Distortional influence of pallet rack uprights subject to combined compression and bending [PDF]
A pallet rack is a structure in which the beams and uprights are cold-formed steel sections. The beam-upright connections are normally clipped in order to select the beam levels required and for ease of assembly.

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.
