The most familiar clinical presentation of cryptococcal disease is subacute lymphocytic meningitis, generally in immunocompromised patients. Isolation of Cryptococcus neoformans from the bloodstream has been regarded as a grave prognostic sign, but we have recently seen a patient with cryptococcaemia which had an unusually benign course.

ABSTRACT: Six patients with benign chondroblastoma were treated and followed between 1970-1979. Pain and limitation of motion were the most common presenting complaints. Diagnosis was made by radiographic, pathologic, and microscopic examination. Following curettage and bonegrafting, complete healing occurred within three years in four patients.

We have studied eight cases of an acquired lymphatic endothelial lesion for which we propose the name "benign lymphangioendothelioma." The lesions developed as solitary, slowly extending, erythematous macules and plaques, usually occurring on the extremities or the shoulders in adolescents or adults.

A case of a 3 1/2-year-old female with benign osteopetrosis is presented. There was radiographic evidence of previous fetal sclerosis of bone yielding a "bone-within-a-bone" appearance, but on radiophosphate imaging this fetal sclerosis was not hyperactive and could not be differentiated from the normal diaphysis surrounding it.

Archives of Surgery, 1963In a practice involving large numbers of unselected gastric ulcer patients, the problem of medical intractability and recurrence of benign peptic ulcers in the stomach has posed, for us, a greater difficulty than the initial differentiation from gastric cancer. Rigid adherence to a policy of thorough diagnostic study and, in appropriate cases, reliance

Meningioma was diagnosed in four women, aged 40, 24, 41 and almost 75 years, respectively. The first of these patients was treated with surgery, the second and third patients underwent surgery followed by conventional radiotherapy because of a tumour residue or dural tail, and the last patient was treated with stereotactic radiosurgery.
