Benign migratory glossitis (BMG) is a benign, usually asymptomatic mucosal lesion of dorsal surface of the tongue, characterized by depapillated erythematous patches separated by white irregular borders. Etiology of BMG is unknown. Risk factors include psoriasis, fissured tongue, diabetes mellitus, hypersensitivity and psychological factors.
