Complications after medullary thyroid carcinoma surgery: multicentre study of the SQRTPA and EUROCRINE® databases

open access: yesBJS (British Journal of Surgery), EarlyView., 2020
This study investigated postoperative complications after surgery for medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) in Europe. Hypoparathyroidism, recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy and bleeding requiring reoperation occurred in 170 (26·2 per cent), 62 (13·7 per cent) and 17 (2·6 per cent) patients respectively.

Ultrasound localization microscopy in the diagnosis of breast tumors and prediction of relevant histologic biomarkers associated with prognosis in humans: the protocol for a prospective, multicenter study

open access: yesBMC Medical Imaging
Background Benign and malignant breast tumors differ in their microvasculature morphology and distribution. Histologic biomarkers of malignant breast tumors are also correlated with the microvasculature.

NET‐DNA Activates the ANXA2/TMEM215/BiP Axis to Promote Mitophagy‐Mediated Anoikis Resistance in Endometriosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NET‐DNA is enriched during early endometriotic lesion establishment and drives anoikis resistance by promoting an ANXA2–TMEM215–BiP axis. This pathway strengthens ER–mitochondria contacts, enhances PINK1/Parkin‐associated mitophagy, preserves mitochondrial homeostasis, and supports ectopic stromal cell survival, thereby facilitating lesion persistence ...

Combining Spatial Multi‐Omics Data to Decipher Spatial Domains and Elucidate Cell Heterogeneity Based on Self‐Supervised Graph Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A self‐supervised multi‐view graph fusion framework integrates spatial multi‐omics, excelling in domain identification and denoising. It reconstructs spatial pseudo‐expression, jointly analyzes multi‐omics data, infers RNA velocity, predicts spatial omics features from single‐cell multi‐omics, and detects spatially dark genes and transcription factors,

Benign peripheral nerve tumors

open access: yes, 2019
Benign peripheral nerve tumors encompass a wide range of neoplasms and non-neoplastic tumor like lesions. Some of these lesions if not encountered in the setting of genetic syndromes, are occurring sporadically.

From Label‐Free Multiphoton Imaging to Pathological Reports: A Vision‐Language Breast Cancer Margin Pathological Diagnosis System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MarginPath is a novel vision‐language system that automates breast cancer margin assessment using a single label‐free multiphoton microscopy image. By integrating tumor‐associated collagen signatures with virtual H&E imaging, it generates accurate margin heatmaps and comprehensive diagnostic reports.

Benign tumors of the liver

open access: yes, 2016
Benign liver tumors are common in general population, can be seen in 9% to 20% of individuals. Some of these tumors have a completely benign natural history and do not need to be resected, while others carry a risk of growth, hemorrhage, or malignant ...

PancDS in Real‐World Practice: A Prospective Multicenter Validation of a Clinical Decision‐Support System Bridging Experience Gaps in Pancreatic Lesion Diagnosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomimetic artificial intelligence system, PancDS, has been developed to distinguish pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma from mass‐forming pancreatitis by adaptively integrating clinical data, radiomics, and deep learning features. Validated across multicenter, reader‐study, and prospective settings, PancDS improves diagnostic accuracy, particularly for
