Optical Density of Perovskite Films as a Novel Parameter in Statistical Modeling for Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesphysica status solidi (RRL) – Rapid Research Letters, Volume 20, Issue 4, April 2026.
A data‐driven approach is applied to analyze blade‐coated perovskite films, revealing how synthesis and processing variables influence thickness and optical properties. A compact UV–vis‐based descriptor reduces complex absorption data into key metrics, enabling efficient exploration of high‐dimensional design spaces and offering a practical pathway to ...

Characterization of Chitosan Nanocapsules as a Biocompatible Polymeric System

open access: yesMaterials Proceedings
In this study, the solvent displacement method was used. This is a low-energy technique that generates a spontaneous “oil-in-water” nanoemulsion by diffusing ethanol from the oily phase to the aqueous phase.

Mujeres Públicas and women in public: Scrutinising the history of prostitution in eighteenth‐ and nineteenth‐century Mexico

open access: yesGender &History, Volume 38, Issue 1, Page 86-101, March 2026.
Abstract Past studies of prostitution have mislabelled Mexican women as prostitutes when it is not clear that they had engaged in transactional sex. Calpain‐1 and Cholesterol Regulate the Dynamics of the Lipid Membrane Domains Essential for Suitable Capacitation and Acrosomal Reactions

open access: yesJournal of Cellular Physiology, Volume 241, Issue 2, February 2026.
The role of calpain‐1 and cholesterol during capacitation. The activation of calpain‐1 and cholesterol redistribution directs distinct events involved in capacitation, including the degradation of the spectrin cytoskeleton, protein phosphorylation at Tyr, actin polymerization, lipid rafts remodeling, and calcium influx, among others. ABSTRACT Calpain‐1

Ungulate prey availability to inform Mexican wolf recovery within its historical range

open access: yesThe Journal of Wildlife Management, Volume 90, Issue 2, February 2026.
We estimated the potential ecological carrying capacity for the Mexican wolf based exclusively on ungulate prey biomass estimated from camera trap surveys. In the United States, the potential density estimate is high (21.4–52.7 wolves/1,000 km2) owing to the presence and relatively high densities of elk, mule deer, and white‐tailed deer.
