Insulin resistance is a metabolic disorder in which target cells fail to respond to normal levels of circulating insulin. Insulin resistance has been associated with presence of acanthosis nigricans and acrochordons.

On the Construction of Moho Reflected Shear Wave Phases From Ambient Noise
Abstract Shear waves reflected from the Moho (SmS) are frequently identified in ambient noise cross‐correlation functions. Despite their consistent appearance across various arrays and studies, the physical origin and generation mechanisms of these SmS phases remain poorly understood.

Abstract Passive seismic ambient noise interferometry (ANI) has shown potential for lunar seismic exploration, offering the capability to detect near‐surface subsurface structures critical for future lunar mission, such as near‐surface ice deposits and lava tubes, without the need for active seismic sources.

Modelling attrition and nonparticipation in a longitudinal study of prostate cancer
Background Attrition occurs when a participant fails to respond to one or more study waves. The accumulation of attrition over several waves can lower the sample size and power and create a final sample that could differ in characteristics than those who

Abstract On March 9th $9\mathrm{th}$, 2023, three small earthquakes (3.8≤Mw≤4.5) $(3.8\le {M}_{w}\le 4.5)$ occurred near Umbertide (Central Italy), within 4 hours. Analyzing seismic ambient noise in the frequency band 0.1–1 Hz from six seismometers within 20 km of the Mw 4.5, we detect a significant drop in seismic velocity at the time of occurrence of

Evidence for Virtual Source‐Receiver Refractions in Cross Correlations of Infrasonic Ambient Noise
Abstract Seasonal variability in source activity and atmospheric temperature were retrieved from 11 years of infrasonic ambient noise. Variable lag times between an array and single microbarometer were obtained from envelopes of cross‐correlation functions. Beamforming and one‐bit normalization significantly enhanced the stationary phase.
