Photoisomerization of bentazone

Tetrahedron Letters, 1989
Abstract Photolysis of bentazone 1 in non-polar solvents e.g. n-hexane yields the unexpected photoproduct 2 . On irradiation in methanol and in water 1-methylbentazone and anthranilic acid isopropylamide as a degradation product are observed.

Differential bentazon metabolism and retention of bentazon metabolites by plant cell cultures

Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, 1989
Abstract Bentazon [3-(1-methylethyl)-(1 H )-2,1,3-benzothiadiazin-4(3 H )-one 2,2-dioxide] was metabolized to 6-O-β-glucose-bentazon (6-O-G) by suspension-cultured cells of alfalfa ( Medicago sativa L.), carrot ( Daucus carota L.), corn ( Zea mays L.), potato ( Solanum tuberosum L.), rice ( Oryza sativa L.), tobacco ( Nicotiana tabacum L.), and

Lysimeter experiments on bentazon

Chemosphere, 1991
Abstract The leaching behaviour, distribution, and metabolism of the herbicide bentazon within two years following application was investigated by a lysimeter study with undisturbed soil monolith and using the radiolabelled compound. This was achieved by analyzing compounds appearing in the leachate as well as analyzing radiolabelled residues ...
