Oxidation of benzaldehyde in some multiphase betaine-benzaldehyde-water systems [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, 1964
Abstract The results of oxidation studies in ternary multiphase betaine-benzaldehyde-water systems show that the maximum rate of oxidation depends primarily on the benzaldehyde content and composition of the phase with the shortest induction period in the system under examination.

2-(Phenylmethylthio)benzaldehyde [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 1995
In the title compound, C 14 H 12 OS, the two planar benzaldehyde and benzyl groups are inclined at 77.7(1)°. The torsion angle about the central C-S bond is 174.9 (2)°. The molecules are held together in the crystal by van der Waals interactions.

The determination of furaldehyde and benzaldehyde in plum brandy [PDF]

open access: yesHemijska Industrija, 2005
Among all alcohol liqueurs, brandies from drupaceous plants are characterized with the highest level of hydro cyanic acid, benzaldehyde and ethylcarbamate.

Oxidation of benzaldehyde in some single phase betaine-benzaldehyde-water systems [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, 1964
AbstractThe oxidation rates of increasing concentrations of benzaldehyde in ternary systems of the L1 type have been measured in aqueous solutions of four betaine homologues. On applying corrections for extra-micellar material, the rate becomes independent of the betaine concentration and is related to the micellar ratio of benzaldehyde to betaine when

Benzaldehyde-Promoted (Auto)Photocatalysis under Visible Light: Pitfalls and Opportunities in Photocatalytic H2O2 Production [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Selective photooxidation of aromatic alcohols to corresponding aldehydes is a widely used model reaction for evaluation of performance of heterogeneous photocatalysts. A chief example is the photocatalytic production of hydrogen peroxide via reduction of

ZIF-8 encapsulation improves the antifungal activity of benzaldehyde and methyl anthranilate in films [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Two ZIF-8-based biocomposites are obtained by entrapping antifungal benzaldehyde and methyl anthranilate biomolecules via direct impregnation with high payloads. Enhanced antifungal activity against Penicilium expansum is shown after their integration in

Impurity profiling of an alternative pathway to ephedrine/pseudoephedrine and methamphetamine from the precursors benzaldehyde and nitroethane [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Methamphetamine is produced using various routes from two predominant precursors, ephedrine/pseudoephedrine or phenyl-2-propanone (P2P). The multitude of synthetic routes results in many possible impurities (by-products or intermediates).

Benzaldehyde thiosemicarbazone monohydrate [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2008
In the title compound, C(8)H(9)N(3)S·H(2)O, intra-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonding contributes to the mol-ecular conformation. Water mol-ecules are involved in inter-molecular N-H⋯O and O-H⋯S hydrogen bonds, which link the mol-ecules into ribbons extended along the a axis.
