We herein report the identification of UR‐NR435 (25), a SCH‐23390‐based fluorescent ligand bearing a 5‐TAMRA dye, as suitable for fluorescence microscopy at the D1R. Single‐digit nanomolar binding affinity could be determined in radioligand competition binding and molecular brightness studies at D1‐like receptors.

Cocaine Effects on Dopaminergic Transmission Depend on a Balance between Sigma-1 and Sigma-2 Receptor Expression. [PDF]
gma σ1 and σ2 receptors are targets of cocaine. Despite sharing a similar name, the two receptors are structurally unrelated and their physiological role is unknown. Cocaine increases the level of dopamine, a key neurotransmitter in CNS motor control and

Effects of pharmacological agents on the lifespan phenotype of Drosophila DJ-1β mutants [PDF]
Mutations in the DJ-1 gene cause autosomal recessive, early-onset Parkinsonism. The DJ-1 protein exerts a protective role against oxidative stress damage, working as a cellular oxidative stress sensor, and it seems to regulate gene expression at ...
