Polyaniline coated micro-capillaries for continuous flow analysis of aqueous solutions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The inner walls of fused silica micro-capillaries were successfully coated with polyaniline nanofibres using the “grafting” approach. The optical response of polyaniline coatings was evaluated during the subsequent redoping–dedoping processes with ...

A Crack‐Based One‐Dimensional Microspheres Array Enables Thermal–Mechanical Decoupled Dual‐Functional Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by Nostoc, a crack‐based one‐dimensional microspheres array (COMA) sensor is developed, which stabilizes crack geometry under isotropic expansion, enabling a predictable, monotonic thermal response from which true strain can be accurately extracted. The COMA sensor exhibits high sensitivity at ultralow deformation (gauge factor up to 89) and a

Does Koopmans\u27 Paradigm for 1-Electron Oxidation Always Hold? Breakdown of IP/Eox Relationship for p-Hydroquinone Ethers and the Role of Methoxy Group Rotation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Koopmans’ paradigm states that electron loss occurs from HOMO, thus forming the basis for the observed linear relationships between HOMO/IP, HOMO/Eox, and IP/Eox.

Orbital and Electrical Dual Function of Polymer Intercalant for Promoting NH4+ Storage in Vanadium Oxide Anode

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
The impact of polyaniline insertion on the atomic orbitals and electronic structure of vanadium oxide anode is systematically investigated for the first time. The electrode exhibits an outstanding capacity and unprecedent long‐term cycling life, owing to the electron transition to the V 3dxy state and the enhanced diffusion kinetics.

Degree-Based Entropy for a Non-Kekulean Benzenoid Graph

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2022
Tessellations of kekulenes and cycloarenes have a lot of potential as nanomolecular belts for trapping and transporting heavy metal ions and chloride ions because they have the best electronic properties and pore sizes. The aromaticity, superaromaticity,

X-ray Structural Characterization of Charge Delocalization onto the Three Equivalent Benzenoid Rings in Hexamethoxytriptycene Cation Radical [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Definitive X-ray crystallographic evidence is obtained for a single hole (or a polaron) to be uniformly distributed on the three equivalent 1,2-dimethoxybenzenoid (or veratrole) rings in the hexamethoxytriptycene cation radical.

1-Methyl-4H-3,1-benzoxazine-2,4(1H)dione

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2010
In its crystal structure, the title compound, C9H7NO3, forms π-stacked dimers, with a centroid–centroid distance of 3.475 (5) Å between the benzenoid and the 2,4 dicarbonyl oxazine rings.

Electron Redistribution of Aromatic Ligands in (Arene)Cr(CO)\u3csub\u3e3\u3c/sub\u3e Complexes. Structural (Bond-Length) Changes as Quantitative Measures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Arene ligands experience significant ring expansion upon coordination with chromium tricarbonyl, as established by precise X-ray crystallographic analyses of various (η6-arene)Cr(CO)3 complexes.

Infinite benzenoids

open access: yesThe Art of Discrete and Applied Mathematics, 2019
Summary: A family of benzenoids, called convex benzenoids, was introduced in 2012 by \textit{R. Cruz} et al. [MATCH Commun. Math. Comput. Chem. 68, No. 1, 97--108 (2012; Zbl 1313.05065)]. In a later paper by the present author et al., several equivalent characterisations of convex benzenoids have been given and their equivalence was proved.

5,12‐TIPS‐Substitution of Tetracene: Effects on Redox Potentials and Cyclic Voltammetric Behavior in CH2Cl2 and THF1

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Tetracene and bis(tri(isopropyl)silylethynyl)tetracene (TIPS‐tetracene) exhibit characteristic similarities and differences in their electrochemical redox behavior depending on the base solvent of the electrolyte. Analysis of cyclic voltammograms allows the quantification of substituent and solvent effects and the calculation of an “electrochemical gap.
