From Low Symmetry to High Dissymmetry: Chiral Plasmonic Films of Binary and Nanobipyramid Assemblies
This work develops highly dissymmetric chiral plasmonic thin films by helically assembling gold nano bipyramids within a liquid‐crystal template. Engineering of the chiroptical response is achieved by varying particle size and geometry, as well as preparing binary assemblies.

A pore tuning strategy to amplify the multi‐site MOF‐SO2 interactions is proposed to achieve an enhanced trace SO2 capture and chemiresistive sensing in highly stable isostructural DMOFs by annelating benzene rings. This work provides a facile strategy to achieve tailor‐made stable MOF materials for specific multifunctional applications.

Adamantane-1-ammonium benzoate [PDF]
In the title molecular salt, C(10)H(15)NH(3) (+)·C(7)H(5)O(2) (-), both carboxyl O atoms act as acceptors for strong N-H⋯O inter-molecular hydrogen-bond inter-actions with the ammonium group in the cation, generating infinite chains along the b axis. A weak C-H⋯π inter-action is also present.

A polar nature of benzoic acids extrusion from nitroalkyl benzoates: DFT mechanistic study
Using DFT calculations at various theory levels, quantum-chemical simulations of decomposition paths were performed for a series of nitroalkyl benzoates. It was discovered, that these reactions proceed via polar, but one-step mechanism.
