How Are Children Involved? Participation of Children in the Process of Matching With Foster Families

open access: yesChild &Family Social Work, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Children have the right to be informed and to express their views on all matters affecting them. When children are placed in foster care, social services are responsible for ensuring that the child receives ‘good care’. This requires a matching process. Matching means that children and foster families must ‘fit together’.

Analytic multipliers of Bergman spaces.

open access: yesMichigan Mathematical Journal, 1984
The author provides his results contained in his doctorial dissertation, through seven sections in this paper. Sections 1 and 2 contain basics and introduction with some examples, on unbounded multipliers from \(L^ 2_ a(D)\) to \(L^ 2(D)\). Section 3 deals with propositions on harmonic multipiers of \(L^ p_ a(W)\) to \(L^ p(W)\).

Placing Children in Residential Care: A Scoping Review of Decision‐Making and Matching Criteria

open access: yesChild &Family Social Work, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Placement decisions in residential care (RC) represent one of the most challenging aspects of child protection services. While often framed as a last‐resort solution, RC aims to serve children whose needs are not met through family‐based interventions and is used differently across countries.

On generalized Bergman spaces [PDF]

open access: yesStudia Mathematica, 1996
Summary: Let \(D\) be the open unit disc and \(\mu\) a positive bounded measure on \([0, 1]\). Extending results of Mateljević/Pavlović and Shields/Williams we give Banach-space descriptions of the classes of all harmonic (holomorphic) functions \(f: D\to \mathbb{C}\) satisfying \[ \int^1_0 \Biggl(\int^{2\pi}_0 |f(re^{i\varphi})|^pd\varphi\Biggr)^{q/p}

Significant Considerations When Matching Foster Families and Children With Migrant Backgrounds: Reflections of Social Workers in Norway and Sweden

open access: yesChild &Family Social Work, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Child welfare services in Norway and Sweden proclaim the importance of considering continuity in the child's upbringing and ethnic, religious, cultural and linguistic background when placed in foster care. Drawing on seven vignette‐based focus group discussions with social workers in Norway (12 participants) and Sweden (14 participants), this ...

Digital Professional Practice, Digital Competences and Impact on Family Support Services

open access: yesChild &Family Social Work, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Digital‐mediated practices in public social services require new strategies for administration, communication, assessment and intervention. Within this field, research framed under UNESCO's (2020) Media and Information Literacy model—examining digital media management and digital competence in information management, communication, digital ...

Weighted Composition Operators from Weighted Bergman Spaces to Weighted-Type Spaces on the Upper Half-Plane

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2011
Let ψ be a holomorphic mapping on the upper half-plane Π+={z∈ℂ:Jz>0} and φ be a holomorphic self-map of Π+. We characterize bounded weighted composition operators acting from the weighted Bergman space to the weighted-type space on the upper half-plane ...
