Storm-based distributed sampling system for multi-source stream environment
As a large amount of data streams occur rapidly in many recent applications such as social network service, Internet of Things, and smart factory, sampling techniques have attracted many attentions to handle such data streams efficiently. In this article,

Effective Material Stiffness in Curved Actuators
A new actuator effective material stiffness measurement method is created. It produces a new metric called shape actuation modulus with the potential to help design actuators. This method shows that the smaller the curvature of hinge‐shaped actuators, the stiffer they are.

This work presents a tip‐growing eversion robot that uses phase‐changing alloys for reversible stiffening and localized actuation, achieving 43× stiffness modulation, 15× force amplification, and segmental steering. The system enables precise navigation and force delivery in constrained, tortuous pathways.

Harmonic Bernoulli strings and random permutations
We examine fairly special b-harmonic Bernoulli strings appearing in n observations. It is shown that their count number can be used to define a random process converging to the Brownian motion as n tends to infinity.

Contact Force Estimation of Continuum Robots without Embedded Sensors: A Review
This review surveys methods for estimating contact forces in continuum robots without embedded sensors. It explains why contact force matters, classifies force patterns, and groups existing methods into three approaches based on actuation, deformation, and environment information.

La loi de Pascal restreinte et ses cas particuliers; Constrained Pascal distribution and its special cases [PDF]
Pascal distribution, Pa(r, /pi), also called Negative binomial distribution, pertains to the trial number n at which the first r successes have been obtained, each trial being the realization of a Bernoulli variable with success probability /pi.

Poly-Bernoulli Numbers and Eulerian Numbers
In this note we prove combinatorially some new formulas connecting poly-Bernoulli numbers with negative indices to Eulerian numbers.

The Jump‐Enhancing Textile Suit integrates the Pneumatic Energy‐Storing Propulsion Actuator (PESPA) and the Triarticular Kinetic‐Chained Structure (TKiCS). PESPA stores elastic energy under pneumatic pressure and releases it during the propulsive phase to augment movement.

Congruences for Bernoulli numbers and Bernoulli polynomials
The Bernoulli numbers and polynomials are defined by \(B_0=1\), \(\sum^{n-1}_{k=0}{n\choose k} B_k= 0\) \((n=2,3,\dots)\) and \(B_n(x)= \sum^n_{k=0}{n\choose k} B_{n-k} x^k\), respectively. Two basic congruences for Bernoulli numbers are the Kummer congruences (used in the theory of Fermat's last theorem) and the von Staudt-Clausen theorem. There exist
