D-log and formal flow for analytic isomorphisms of n-space [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Given a formal map $F=(F_1...,F_n)$ of the form $z+\text{higher}$ order terms, we give tree expansion formulas and associated algorithms for the D-Log of F and the formal flow F_t.

Hypergeometric degenerate Bernoulli polynomials and numbers

open access: yesArs Mathematica Contemporanea, 2020
Summary: Carlitz defined the degenerate Bernoulli polynomials \(\beta_n(\lambda,x)\) by means of the generating function \(t\left((1+\lambda t)^{1\lambda} -1\right)^{-1}(1+\lambda t)^{x/\lambda}\). In 1875, Glaisher gave several interesting determinant expressions of numbers, including Bernoulli, Cauchy and Euler numbers.

On The Properties Of $q$-Bernstein-Type Polynomials

open access: yes, 2014
The aim of this paper is to give a new approach to modified $q$-Bernstein polynomials for functions of several variables. By using these polynomials, the recurrence formulas and some new interesting identities related to the second Stirling numbers and ...

Bernoulli Numbers and Polynomials via Residues

open access: yesJournal of Number Theory, 1999
In the ring \({\mathbb Q}[[T]]\) of formal power series the authors study the subring generated by \({\mathbb Q}, T\) and \(T/(e^T-1)\) together with the differential operator \(T(d/dT)\). Using their calculus of generalized fractions and residues they show that the Bernoulli numbers \(B^{(n)}_i\) of order \(n\) and Bernoulli polynomials \(B^{(n)}_i(X)\

Shaped electrodes for adaptive X‐ray optics

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, EarlyView.
For adaptive X‐ray optics on high‐performance beamline optical systems, we describe an approach to mirror figure and slope control using patterned, shaped electrodes to control the local curvature on a lithium niobate substrate from a single applied voltage. Longitudinally continuous electrode patterns achieve target shapes without discontinuities, and

Degenerate poly-Bernoulli polynomials arising from degenerate polylogarithm

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
Recently, degenerate polylogarithm functions were introduced by Kim and Kim. In this paper, we introduce degenerate poly-Bernoulli polynomials by means of the degenerate polylogarithm functions and investigate some their properties.

Trajectories of medication for opioid use disorder and their impact on HIV testing among people who inject drugs in India: A longitudinal assessment of clinic‐based data

open access: yesAddiction, Volume 120, Issue 4, Page 745-755, April 2025.
Abstract Aims The aim of this study was to identify longitudinal trajectories of medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) use throughout 1 year following MOUD initiation and to examine the association of trajectory membership with HIV testing among people who inject drugs in India.

New families of special numbers and polynomials arising from applications of p-adic q-integrals

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2017
In this manuscript, generating functions are constructed for the new special families of polynomials and numbers using the p-adic q-integral technique. Partial derivative equations, functional equations and other properties of these generating functions ...

Bayesian inference for dynamic Q matrices and attribute trajectories in hidden Markov diagnostic classification models

open access: yesBritish Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Hidden Markov diagnostic classification models capture how students' cognitive attributes evolve over time. This paper introduces a Bayesian Markov chain Monte Carlo algorithm for diagnostic classification models that jointly estimates time‐varying Q matrices, latent attributes, item parameters, attribute class proportions and transition ...
