A Class of Sextic Trigonometric Bézier Curve with Two Shape Parameters
In this paper, we present a new class of sextic trigonometric Bernstein (ST-Bernstein, for short) basis functions with two shape parameters along with their geometric properties which are similar to the classical Bernstein basis functions.

Lupaş blending functions with shifted knots and q-Bézier curves
In this paper, we introduce blending functions of Lupaş q-Bernstein operators with shifted knots for constructing q-Bézier curves and surfaces. We study the nature of degree elevation and degree reduction for Lupaş q-Bézier Bernstein functions with ...

Generalization of the Energy Distance by Bernstein Functions [PDF]
We reprove the well known fact that the energy distance defines a metric on the space of Borel probability measures on a Hilbert space with finite first moment by a new approach, by analyzing the behavior of the Gaussian kernel on Hilbert spaces and a Maximum Mean Discrepancy analysis.

On self-similar Bernstein functions and corresponding generalized fractional derivatives
We use the theory of Bernstein functions to analyze power law tail behavior with log-periodic perturbations which corresponds to self-similarity of the Bernstein functions. Such tail behavior appears in the context of semistable L\'evy processes.

The Hornich-Hlawka inequality and Bernstein functions [PDF]
The Hornich-Hlawka inequality for three real numbers is extended from the identity function to all Bernstein functions on the half-line.

Curve and surface construction based on the generalized toric-Bernstein basis functions
The construction of parametric curve and surface plays an important role in computer aided geometric design (CAGD), computer aided design (CAD), and geometric modeling.

On the shape-preserving properties of λ-Bernstein operators
We investigate the shape-preserving properties of λ-Bernstein operators B n , λ ( f ; x ) $B_{n,\lambda } ( f;x ) $ that were recently introduced Bernstein-type operators defined by a new Beziér basis with shape parameter λ ∈ [ − 1 , 1 ] $\lambda \in ...

Some identities of degenerate Euler polynomials associated with degenerate Bernstein polynomials
In this paper, we investigate some properties and identities for degenerate Euler polynomials in connection with degenerate Bernstein polynomials by means of fermionic p-adic integrals on Zp $\mathbb{Z}_{p}$ and generating functions.
