Lower bounds for quasianalytic functions, II The Bernstein quasianalytic functions.

open access: yesMATHEMATICA SCANDINAVICA, 2004
Let $\mathscr{F}$ be a class of functions with the uniqueness property: if $f \in \mathscr{F}$ vanishes on a set $E$ of positive measure, then $f$ is the zero function. In many instances, we would like to have a quantitative version of this property, e.g. a lower bound for $|f|$ outside a small exceptional set.

Influence of E‐Commerce Usability, Consumer Happiness, and Satisfaction on Purchase Intentions in Fashion Retail

open access: yesJournal of Consumer Behaviour, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The expansion of e‐commerce in the fashion sector has prompted exploration of the factors influencing the intention to purchase through this channel. Drawing on the theory of consumption values, this research examines how the usability of e‐commerce (functional value), together with satisfaction (epistemic value) and consumer happiness ...

The Truncated q-Bernstein Polynomials in the Case q>1

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
The truncated q-Bernstein polynomials Bn,m,qf;x, n∈ℕ, and  m∈ℕ0 emerge naturally when the q-Bernstein polynomials of functions vanishing in some neighbourhood of 0 are considered.

Diversity and Inclusion Standards: Exploring Drivers and Determinants of Adoption of ISO 30415:2021 and UNI/PdR 125:2022 in Italian SMEs

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the adoption of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) standards among Italian small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs), focusing on the international guideline ISO 30415:2021 and the national certification UNI/PdR 125:2022. Using survey data from 866 SMEs across six manufacturing and service industries and applying descriptive

Coupling Fluid Neutrals to Gyrokinetic Plasma Dynamics for Edge and SOL Turbulence Simulations

open access: yesContributions to Plasma Physics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accurate modeling of turbulent transport in magnetic confinement fusion devices requires extending first‐principles gyrokinetic simulations from the core to the edge and scrape‐off layer (SOL), where additional physics—particularly plasma–neutrals interactions—must be included.

Different Conditions, Yet Similar Outcomes: How Interaction Between Policy Areas Enabled Carbon Tax Adoption in Sweden and Mexico

open access: yesEnvironmental Policy and Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The interest in putting a price on carbon emissions is increasing in pace with the urgency of climate change. In this article we compare the adoption of one such policy instrument, carbon taxation, in the cases of Sweden and Mexico. We use a theoretical framework that focuses on economic and environmental factors influencing the policy process

Governing Within the Constraints of Carbon Budgets: Regional Insights From Sweden

open access: yesEnvironmental Policy and Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Staying within the limits of a rapidly shrinking global carbon budget while avoiding dependency on negative emissions technologies and carbon dioxide removal remains a significant challenge in a multi‐level governance system, where resources and responsibilities are dispersed among different actors.

Approximation by bivariate Bernstein–Kantorovich–Stancu operators that reproduce exponential functions

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications
In this study, we construct a Stancu-type generalization of bivariate Bernstein–Kantorovich operators that reproduce exponential functions. Then, we investigate some approximation results for these operators.
