Modified log-Sobolev inequalities and two-level concentration
We consider a generic modified logarithmic Sobolev inequality (mLSI) of the form $\mathrm{Ent}_{\mu}(e^f) \le \tfrac{\rho}{2} \mathbb{E}_\mu e^f \Gamma(f)^2$ for some difference operator $\Gamma$, and show how it implies two-level concentration ...

Generation of subordinated holomorphic semigroups via Yosida's theorem
Using functional calculi theory, we obtain several estimates for $\|\psi(A)g(A)\|$, where $\psi$ is a Bernstein function, $g$ is a bounded completely monotone function and $-A$ is the generator of a holomorphic $C_0$-semigroup on a Banach space, bounded ...

Statistical Convergence of Bernstein Operators
The Bernstein operator is one of the important topics of approximation theory in which it has been studied in great details for a long time. The aim of this paper is to study the statistical convergence of sequence of Bernstein polynomials. In this paper, we introduce the concepts of statistical convergence of Bernstein polynomials and VB−summability ...

Approximation and Shape Preserving Properties of the Bernstein Operator of Max-Product Kind
Starting from the study of the Shepard nonlinear operator of max-prod type by Bede et al. (2006, 2008), in the book by Gal (2008), Open Problem 5.5.4, pages 324–326, the Bernstein max-prod-type operator is introduced and the question of the approximation

Nonlinear Bivariate Bernstein–Chlodowsky Operators of Maximum Product Type
The positive nonlinear operators with maximum and product were introduced by Bede. In this study, nonlinear maximum product type of bivariate Bernstein–Chlodowsky operators is defined and the approximation properties are investigated with the help of new

ψ‐Bernstein–Kantorovich operators
In this article, we introduce a modified class of Bernstein–Kantorovich operators depending on an integrable function and investigate their approximation properties. By choosing an appropriate function , the order of approximation of our operators to a function is at least as good as the classical Bernstein–Kantorovich operators on the interval .

Phase Diagrams and Piezoelectric Properties of Wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN Heterostructural Alloys
This study demonstrates ferroelectricity and piezoelectric properties improvement of quaternary wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN${\rm Al}_{1-x-y}{\rm Sc}_x{\rm Gd}_y{\rm N}$ films, guided by density functional theory calculations. Wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN${\rm Al}_{1-x-y}{\rm Sc}_x{\rm Gd}_y{\rm N}$ films have a high optical bandgap, enhanced piezoelectric ...
