Shell structure of the Early Cretaceous (Berriasian-Barremian) Rhynchonellids from Dagestan

Paleontological Journal, 2010
The shell structure of five rhynchonellid species from the Lower Cretaceous of Dagestan was studied for the first time. The primary layer is rarely preserved in fossil rhynchonellids. Most of the species studied have a primary layer composed of prismatic calcite, one species has a finely granulated primary layer. The secondary fibrous layer consists of

Reconstruction of a berriasian lacustrine paleoenvironment in the Cameros basin (Spain)

Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology, 1989
Abstract From Kimmeridgian to Valanginian, the northern part of the Iberian plate broke up into several graben systems, one of which is the Cameros basin in the northwestern part of the Iberian Range. The infill consists of fluvial-clastic and lacustrine or evaporitic carbonate rocks. During the Berriasian, a lacustrine complex developed.

Las cerradicas tracksite (Berriasian, Galve, Spain): Growing evidence for quadrupedal ornithopods

Ichnos, 1997
Dinosaur footprints occur in shallow marine sedimentary units of the Berriasian Villar del Arzobispo Formation in the Aliaga basin, NE Spain. Las Cerradicas is a small outcrop (25 m2), near Galve, with four dinosaur trackways. Three tridactyl trackways indicate bipedal animals, and have parallel orientation.

Upper Berriasian– Valanginian algae

2007
Described locality is typical for Humiella delmatarum (SOKAČ & VELIĆ, 1981), the identity of which compared to the later described Humiella sardiniensis (OTT & FLAVIANI) is still questionable due to the few and poorly preserved cross sections. Also Humiella catanaeformis (RADOIČIĆ), Humiella sardiniensis (OTT & FLAVIANI) (?

Berriasian to lower Hauterivian palynostratigraphy, U.K. onshore and Outer Moray Firth

Micropaleontology, 2018
Detailed palynofloral analysis of Lower Cretaceous sections at Speeton (northeast England) and in the UKCS Outer Moray Firth has involved 31 outcrop samples and over 1100 well samples fromGolden Eagle Field (UKCSblocks 14/26a and 20/01), including extensive conventional core.Very close sampling, particularly within theValanginian, has allowed some ...

RESERVOIR EVALUATION: VANDJI FORMATION OF BERRIASIAN-VALANGINIANAGE IN LOWER CONGO BASIN

APGCE 2019, 2019
Summary Lower Congo and South Gabon basin have seen many hydrocarbon successes since 1960’s. Recently, forgotten play in the lower rift section was revived with huge discovery in Lower Congo basin. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive reservoir analysis on one of the lower rift plays, Vandji Formation of Berriasian-Valanginian age in Lower Congo ...
