Cationic Phosphino Beryllium Scorpionates and their Reactivity as Lewis Acid–Base Pairs

open access: yesChemistryEurope
Herein, the article describes a facile and modular access to cationic beryllium phosphine complexes [TpBe(PR3)]+ (PR3 = PMe3, PEt3, PPh3, PCy3, PMe2Ph, PMePh2), which are stabilized through a monoanionic tris(pyrazolyl)borate (Tp) ligand.

Ab initio study of beryllium-decorated fullerenes for hydrogen storage

open access: yes, 2010
We have found that a beryllium (Be) atom on nanostructured materials with H2 molecules generates a Kubas-like dihydrogen complex [H. Lee et al. arXiv:1002.2247v1 (2010)].

Creating σ‐Holes through the Formation of Beryllium Bonds

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, 2015
AbstractThrough the use of ab initio theoretical models based on MP2/aug‐cc‐pVDZ‐optimized geometries and CCSD(T)/aug‐cc‐pVTZ and CCSD(T)/aug‐c‐pVDZ total energies, it has been shown that the significant electron density rearrangements that follow the formation of a beryllium bond may lead to the appearance of a σ‐hole in systems that previously do not

Comparison of Bond Strength of Porcelain to Metal in Nobel, Base Metals (with and without) Beryllium with SEM/EDS Analysis

open access: yesمجله دانشکده دندانپزشکی اصفهان, 2006
Introduction: Evaluation of bonding in atomic level, by SEM/EDS analysis of Si atoms, is an exact method for determination of bond strength of metal and porcelain.

Opto-mechanical subsystem with temperature compensation through isothemal design [PDF]

open access: yes, 1977
An opto-mechanical subsystem for supporting a laser structure which minimizes changes in the alignment of the laser optics in response to temperature variations is described.

Using beryllium bonds to change halogen bonds from traditional to chlorine-shared to ion-pair bonds [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2015
Dramatic synergistic cooperative effects between Be⋯F beryllium bonds and Cl⋯N halogen bonds in XYBe:FCl:N-base ternary complexes lead to changes in the halogen-bond type from traditional to chlorine-shared to ion-pair bonds.

Ground-state correlation energy of beryllium dimer by the Bethe-Salpeter equation

open access: yes, 2020
Since the '30s the interatomic potential of the beryllium dimer Be$_2$ has been both an experimental and a theoretical challenge. Calculating the ground-state correlation energy of Be$_2$ along its dissociation path is a difficult problem for theory.

MEAN FIELD MODELS FOR MARTENSITIC AND COOPERATIVE JAHN-TELLER TRANSFORMATIONS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The validity of mean field models for phase transitions is discussed, and examples are given for dilute random systems of anisotropic defects interacting with long range elastic strain fields.
