II. Note on the atomic weight of glucinum or beryllium
Proceedings of the Royal Society of London, 1883In the course of a paper by Professor Humpidge on the above subject, recently read before the Society, the author seeks to decide between the atomic weight 9·2 for beryllium, resulting from my comparison of the atomic heat of the element with that of silver and aluminium, and the value 13·8, arrived at by MM.

Activation of Transducin by Aluminum or Beryllium Fluoride Complexes
1989Transducin is the GTP binding protein of the phototransduction system. This protein, like other G proteins involved in numerous hormonal or sensorial transduction systems, plays a central role in the enzymatic cascade triggered by the external signal (light), and controlling the concentration of a soluble messager (cGMP).

Delayed Chemical Pneumonitis or Diffuse Granulomatosis of the Lung Due to Beryllium
Radiology, 1948A more suitable title for this presentation would have been, “Pulmonary Changes Occurring Among Beryllium Workers.” Sufficient evidence seems to have accumulated for us to consider beryllium or its compounds to be etiological factors; still, absolute proof of this assumption is not yet available.

Determination of traces of lithium, beryllium or phosphorus by x-ray analysis
Analytica Chimica Acta, 1969Abstract New indirect X-ray methods have been developed for the determination of traces of lithium, beryllium and phosphorus. In the lithium method which is suitable for 1–100 μg Li, 50 μg of ammonium ion, 100 μg of sodium and 1 mg of K, Rb or Cs can be tolerated; larger amounts require an extraction process.
