Retention of deuterium in beryllium: A combined investigation using TDS, ERDA and EBS
We have studied the retention of deuterium in beryllium, implanted with an energy of 500 eV/D, using a combination of thermal desorption spectroscopy, elastic recoil detection analysis and elastic backscattering spectroscopy.

Enhanced Properties of SAW Device Based on Beryllium Oxide Thin Films
The present study depicts the first-ever optimized surface acoustic wave (SAW) device based on Beryllium Oxide (BeO) thin film. The feasibility of surface acoustic wave devices based on BeO/128° YX LiNbO3 layered structure has been examined theoretically.

Impurity Phases in Beryllium Oxide Ceramic [PDF]
An x-ray spectrographic method with an electron probe and a scanning electron microscope are used to study industrial ceramic specimen surface composition, distinguished by presence of a different color for both the main part, and impurity phases. BeO-ceramic specimens, having a visually differing color, are conditionally separated into three types. In

Plasma cleaning of ITER first mirrors in magnetic field
To avoid reflectivity losses in ITER optical diagnostic systems, plasma sputtering of metallic First Mirrors is foreseen in order to remove deposits coming from the main wall (mainly beryllium and tungsten). Therefore plasma cleaning has to work on large

Effect of compaction pressure on the thermal conductivity of UO2-BeO-Gd2O3 pellets
The (U,Gd)O2 fuels are used in pressurized water reactors (PWR) to control the neutron population in the reactor during the early life with the purpose of extended fuel cycles and higher target burnups. Nevertheless, the incorporation of Gd2O3 in the UO2

Remarkable Hydrogen Storage on Beryllium Oxide Clusters: First Principles Calculations
Since the current transportation sector is the largest consumer of oil, and subsequently responsible for major air pollutants, it is inevitable to use alternative renewable sources of energies for vehicular applications. The hydrogen energy seems to be a
