Fourier-Bessel beams of finite energy
In this paper, we consider a new type of Bessel beams having Fourier-invariance property and, therefore, called Fourier-Bessel beams. In contrast to the known Bessel beams, these beams have weak side lobes.

On a Sum of Modified Bessel Functions [PDF]
In this paper we consider a sum of modified Bessel functions of the first kind of which particular case is used in the study of Kanter's sharp modified Bessel function bound for concentrations of some sums of independent symmetric random vectors. We present some monotonicity and convexity properties for that sum of modified Bessel functions of the ...

Supported lipid bilayers coupled with multielectrode array devices offer significant promise for pathogen–host cell membrane interaction studies. This work demonstrates, for the first time, the compatibility of this platform with biological fluids, in this case whole human blood, essential for any future point‐of‐care applications; as well as its ...

Integral transforms involving a generalized k-Bessel function
The main goal of this study was to look into some new integral transformations that are associated with a generalized kk-Bessel function. Integral formulas for the generalized kk-Bessel function have been established using the Laplace transform, Euler ...

On Recovery of the Singular Differential Laplace—Bessel Operator from the Fourier–Bessel Transform
This paper is devoted to the problem of the best recovery of a fractional power of the B-elliptic operator of a function on R+N by its Fourier–Bessel transform known approximately on a convex set with the estimate of the difference between Fourier–Bessel

A Dynamic Spike Sorter for Multiscale Nanoelectrode Array Recordings
This work introduces a dynamic spike sorting pipeline that isolates diverse electrical signals from nanoelectrode arrays. Using biophysical simulations to calibrate signal processing, the approach reveals relationships between action potentials and membrane fluctuations, advancing the understanding of neuronal network excitability.

q analog of bessel functions, symmetric under the interchange of q and q^ −1 are introduced. The definition is based on the generating function realized as product of symmetric q-exponential functions with appropriate arguments.

In this paper, we first introduce the incomplete extended Gamma and Beta functions with matrix parameters; then, we establish some different properties for these new extensions. Furthermore, we give a specific application for the incomplete Bessel matrix

Inequalities involving Bessel and modified Bessel functions
AbstractSome inequalities for the ratios Jv + 1(x)Jv(x) and Iv + 1(x)Iv(x) of Bessel and modified Bessel functions of the first kind and order v > −1 are given. The inequalities are found easily from a different definition of the ratios and improve many results obtained recently by several authors.

How to Manufacture Photonic Metamaterials
Metamaterials boast applications such as invisibility and “hyperlenses” with resolution beyond the diffraction limit, but these applications haven’t been exploited in earnest and the market for them hasn’t grown much likely because facile and economical methods for fabricating them without defect has not emerged.
