A Trade‐Off between Pulse Energy and Stability in Seeded Free‐Electron Lasers
Seeded free‐electron lasers (FELs) require balancing competing factors for optimal performance. This work analyzes how dispersion strength influences output in high‐gain harmonic generation. Results reveal a trade‐off: maximizing pulse energy often comes at the cost of reduced stability and vice versa.

Scanning electron microscopy and white‐light reflectance images of the pillar‐supported distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) are presented before and after thermal shrinkage. The DBR, fabricated via two‐photon polymerization, consists of alternating high‐ and low‐index layers supported by vertical pillars.

Vicious walk with a wall, noncolliding meanders, and chiral and Bogoliubov-deGennes random matrices
Spatially and temporally inhomogeneous evolution of one-dimensional vicious walkers with wall restriction is studied. We show that its continuum version is equivalent with a noncolliding system of stochastic processes called Brownian meanders.

Incoherent Digital Holography Empowered by Wavefront and Information Engineering: A Review
Advancements in incoherent digital holography (IDH) have been achieved via wavefront engineering (using spatial light modulators, diffractive optics, and metasurfaces) and information engineering (using compressive sensing and deep learning). This paper presents an overview of IDH with wavefront and information engineering, paving the way toward its ...

Analytic representation of the distributional finite Hankel transform
Various representations of finite Hankel transforms of generalized functions are obtained. One of the representations is shown to be the limit of a certain family of regular generalized functions and this limit is interpreted as a process of truncation ...

Generation of High‐Brilliance Polarized γ‐Rays Via Vacuum Dichroism‐Assisted Vacuum Birefringence
A novel method is proposed for generating such γ‐photon beams via the vacuum‐dichroism‐assisted quantum vacuum birefringence effect, only utilizing well‐established unpolarized electron beams and solving the critical problem of demanding polarized ones.
