A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

Molecular genetic characterization of ataxic movement disorders in mouse and human [PDF]
Deletion at ITPR1 underlies a young onset autosomal recessive ataxia in mice and a late onset autosomal dominant ataxia (SCA15) in humans. Data presented show the utility of investigating spontaneous mouse mutations in understanding human disease ...

Forbidden configurations and dominating bicliques in undirected 2-quasi best match graphs
2-quasi best match graphs (2-qBMGs) are directed graphs that capture a notion of close relatedness in phylogenetics. Here, we investigate the undirected underlying graph of a 2-qBMG (un-2qBMG) and show that they contain neither a path $P_l$ nor a cycle $C_l$ of length $l\geq 6$ as an induced subgraph.

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.
