Best Linear Unbiased Estimate from Privatized Contingency Tables
In differential privacy (DP) mechanisms, it can be beneficial to release "redundant" outputs, where some quantities can be estimated in multiple ways by combining different privatized values. Indeed, the DP 2020 Decennial Census products published by the U.S. Census Bureau consist of such redundant noisy counts.

Estimating the Maximum Expected Value: An Analysis of (Nested) Cross Validation and the Maximum Sample Average [PDF]
We investigate the accuracy of the two most common estimators for the maximum expected value of a general set of random variables: a generalization of the maximum sample average, and cross validation.

Cross‐Modal Denoising and Integration of Spatial Multi‐Omics Data with CANDIES
In this paper, we introduce CANDIES, which leverages a conditional diffusion model and contrastive learning to effectively denoise and integrate spatial multi‐omics data. We conduct extensive evaluations on diverse synthetic and real datasets, CANDIES shows superior performance on various downstream tasks, including denoising, spatial domain ...

TaMYB7‐A1 directly activates TaABI5 to enhance ABA signaling and regulate ABA‐GA homeostasis, enforcing seed dormancy. Its superior allele, derived from wild einkorn introgression, harbors a MITE insertion that elevates expression and two amino acid substitutions that enhance transcriptional activity, collectively generating graded PHS resistance for ...

Estimadores compuestos en estadística regional: aplicación para la tasa de variación de la ocupación en la industria [PDF]
This work is part of a project studying the performance of model based estimators in a small area context. We have chosen a simple statistical application in which we estimate the growth rate of accupation for several regions of Spain.

Stable Diffusion Models Reveal a Persisting Human–AI Gap in Visual Creativity
This study examines visual creativity in humans and generative AI using the TCIA framework. Human artists outperform AI overall, yet structured human guidance substantially improves AI outputs and evaluations. Findings reveal that alignment with human creativity depends critically on contextual framing, highlighting both the promise and current ...

A Compensation Method for Airborne SAR with Varying Accelerated Motion Error
Motion error is one of the most serious problems in airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data processing. For a smoothly distributing backscatter scene or a seriously speed-varying velocity platform, the autofocusing performances of conventional ...

"On Measuring Uncertainty of Small Area Estimators with Higher Order Accuracy" [PDF]
The empirical best linear unbiased predictor (EBLUP) or the empirical Bayes estimator (EB) in the linear mixed model is recognized useful for the small area estimation, because it can increase the estimation precision by using the information from the ...
