Best proximity points for Geraghty’s proximal contraction mappings [PDF]
Abstract In this paper, we generalized the notion of proximal contractions of the first and second kinds by using Geraghty’s theorem and establish best proximity point theorems for proximal contractions. Our results improve and extend the recent results of Sadiq Basha and some others. MSC:47H09, 47H10.

Best Proximity Points for p–Cyclic Infimum Summing Contractions
We investigate fixed points for p cyclic maps by introducing a new notion of p–cyclic infimum summing maps and a generalized best proximity point for p–cyclic maps. The idea generalizes some results about best proximity points in order to widen the class

Common Best Proximity Points and Completeness of ℱ−Metric Spaces
In this paper, we introduce three classes of proximal contractions that are called the proximally λ−ψ−dominated contractions, generalized ηβγ−proximal contractions and Berinde-type weak proximal contractions, and obtain common best proximity points for ...

Approximation of Fixed Points and Best Proximity Points of Relatively Nonexpansive Mappings
In this article, we study the Agarwal iterative process for finding fixed points and best proximity points of relatively nonexpansive mappings. Using the Von Neumann sequence, we establish the convergence result in a Hilbert space framework. We present a

Error estimates for approximating fixed points and best proximity points for noncyclic and cyclic contraction mappings [PDF]
In this article, we find a priori and a posteriori error estimates of the fixed point for the Picard iteration associated with a noncyclic contraction map, which is defined on a uniformly convex Banach space with a modulus of convexity of power type.

In this study, at first we prove that the existence of best proximity points for cyclic nonexpansive mappings is equivalent to the existence of best proximity pairs for noncyclic nonexpansive mappings in the setting of ...

On best proximity points of interpolative proximal contractions
In this paper, we introduce some kinds of interpolative proximal contractions named as Reich-Rus-Ćirić and Kannan types. Then taking into account the aforementioned mappings, we give a few best proximity point results. As special cases we obtain some fixed point results for interpolative contractions. To support the theory, some examples are provided.

SOME COMMENTS ON BEST PROXIMITY POINTS FOR ORDERED PROXIMAL CONTRACTIONS
Summary: In this article, we focus on the existence of an optimal approximate solution, designated as a best proximity point for non-self mappings which are ordered proximal contractions in the setting of partially ordered metric spaces and prove that these results are particular cases of existing fixed point theorems in the literature.

Best Proximity Point Results for Modified --Proximal Rational Contractions [PDF]
We first introduce certain new concepts of --proximal admissible and ---rational proximal contractions of the first and second kinds. Then we establish certain best proximity point theorems for such rational proximal contractions in metric spaces. As an application, we deduce best proximity and fixed point results in partially ordered metric spaces ...

Generalizations of Mana's iterative algorithm for best proximity points [PDF]
The main purpose of this paper is to consider the convergence of iterative algorithms for finding best proximity points for cyclic contractive mappings that is a new extension of the Mann iteration by dropping some additional assumptions. To this end, the
