Comparative Analysis of β-Adrenergic Receptor Kinase and β-Arrestin mRNA Expression in Human Cells

Journal of Receptor Research, 1993
Receptor phosphorylation is a key step in the process of rapid desensitization. beta-Adrenergic receptor kinase is a specific receptor kinase that is known to phosphorylate and induce desensitization of several G-coupled synaptic receptors only when they are occupied by their agonists.

Carondiac G-Protein Receptor Kinase Activity: Effect of a β-Adrenergic Receptor Antagonist

1997
Publisher Summary This chapter presents a summary of the data that test the hypothesis that β -adrenergic receptor ( β AR) activation affects G-protein receptor kinase (GRK) activity in the heart. Data reported in the chapter have been previously published. The chapter has attempted to summarize the key features of this publication. Selected figures
