Lepton Mass Hierarchy and Neutrino Oscillations [PDF]
Starting from the symmetry of lepton flavor democracy, we propose and discuss a simple pattern for the mass generation and flavor mixing of the charged leptons and neutrinos.

Predicting “When” Using the Motor System’s Beta-Band Oscillations [PDF]
Anticipating future sensory events is one keystone of adaptive behavior. This notion is at the origin of recent theories suggesting perception and action control rely on internal models that are constantly tested and updated as a function of incoming sensory inputs.

Lorentz and CPT violation in the Neutrino Sector
Searches for Lorentz and CPT violation using neutrino oscillations and the prospects for future tests using neutrino time-of-flight measurements and beta-decay experiments are presented.Comment: Presented at the Sixth Meeting on CPT and Lorentz Symmetry,

Beta frequency oscillations (10-35 Hz) in motor regions of cerebral cortex play an important role in stabilising and suppressing unwanted movements, and become intensified during the pathological akinesia of Parkinson's Disease.

Giant Quantum Oscillations of the Longitudinal Magnetoresistance in Quasi two-dimensional Metals
We have investigated in frame of the quantum transport theory the magnetic quantum oscillations of the longitudinal magnetoresistance $\rho_{zz}$ in quasi two-dimensional metals for a magnetic field perpendicular to the layers.

Neutrino oscillations and signals in beta and 0nu2beta experiments
Assuming Majorana neutrinos, we infer from oscillation data the expected values of the parameters m_{nu_e} and m_{ee} probed by beta and 0nu2beta-decay experiments.

Sneutrino oscillations and neutrinoless double beta decay
Abstract We prove that the neutrino Majorana mass, the B-L violating mass of the sneutrino ( ν ) and the neutrinoless double beta decay amplitude are intimately related to each other such that if one of them is non-zero the other two are also non-zero and, vice versa, if one of them vanishes the other two vanish as well.

Beta-frequency oscillations (20–30 Hz) are prominent in both human and rodent electroencephalogram (EEG) recordings. Discrete epochs of beta (or Beta2) oscillations are prevalent in the hippocampus and other brain areas during exploration of novel ...

Changes in electrophysiological markers of cognitive control after administration of galantamine
The healthy brain is able to maintain a stable balance between bottom-up sensory processing and top-down cognitive control. The neurotransmitter acetylcholine plays a substantial role in this.
