Chalcogen Height Dependence of Magnetism and Fermiology in FeTe_xSe_{1-x}

open access: yes, 2012
FeTexSe1-x (x=0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1) system has been studied using density functional theory. Our results show that for FeSe, LDA seems better approximation in terms of magnitude of magnetic energy whereas GGA overestimates it largely.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Improvement of electromagnetic shielding effectiveness for radar frequencies using dispersion factor

open access: yesSalāmat-i kār-i Īrān, 2016
Background and aims: X-band with 8-12.5 frequencies range has various applications such as air control traffic, navy communication and etc. Uncontrolled exposure with microwave can lead to adverse effect on workers.

Model misspecification and bias for inverse probability weighting and doubly robust estimators

open access: yes, 2017
In the causal inference literature an estimator belonging to a class of semi-parametric estimators is called robust if it has desirable properties under the assumption that at least one of the working models is correctly specified.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

The Transverse Proximity Effect: A Probe to the Environment, Anisotropy, and Megayear Variability of QSOs

open access: yes, 2004
The transverse proximity effect is the expected decrease in the strength of the Lya forest absorption in a QSO spectrum when another QSO lying close to the line of sight enhances the photoionization rate above that due to the average cosmic ionizing ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

The effects of knowledge management on innovative success: an empirical analysis of German firms [PDF]

open access: yes
The aim of this paper is to analyse the effects of knowledge management on the innovation success of firms in Germany. Using a matching procedure on data from the German Innovation Survey of 2003 (Mannheim Innovation Panel), we pair firms applying ...

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Relationen mellan The Better-Than-Average Effect, självkänsla och kontrollokus inom högre utbildning

open access: yes, 2023
