Exploring the Reproductive Toxicity of Bisphenol S Through a Network Toxicology and Molecular Docking Analysis

open access: yesPediatric Discovery, EarlyView.
Utilizing network toxicology, molecular docking, and dynamic simulations to investigate the potential reproductive toxicity of bisphenol S (BPS). ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to investigate the potential reproductive toxicity of bisphenol S (BPS) and the related molecular mechanisms through a network toxicology approach.

Urban in-betweenness: Rotterdam / Mexico City

open access: yesFootprint, 2017
‘Urban in-betweenness’ offers a short reflection on the way conflicts on a global scale are perceived on an individual level within the urban context and how this will have spatial repercussions.

The Histidine 382 Residue Influences the Thermal Stability and Binding Propensity of the E2 Domain of Amyloid Precursor Protein

open access: yesProteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The E2 domain of amyloid precursor protein (APP_E2) plays a central role in the protein's function. We reinvestigate how the missense mutation, ΔH382L, affects the domain's thermal stability and ligand binding propensity through differential scanning fluorometry.

Positivity, Betweenness, and Strictness of Operator Means

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2015
An operator mean is a binary operation assigned to each pair of positive operators satisfying monotonicity, continuity from above, the transformer inequality, and the fixed-point property.

Temporal Hydrogen‐Bond Network Analysis Reveals Substrate‐Directed Connectivity in Dihydrofolate Reductase

open access: yesProteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hydrogen‐bond networks are central to protein function, but most network analyses rely on static representations that neglect how interactions evolve in time. Here, we introduce a framework that combines instantaneous and temporal graph analysis of hydrogen‐bond networks derived from molecular dynamics (MD) trajectories to quantify ligand ...

Information‐Theoretic Framework for Allosteric Communication Pathway Prediction From Protein Structure

open access: yesProteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Allosteric communication is fundamental to the function of proteins, but identifying the residue‐level pathways through which signals travel and their directionality is still a major challenge. Here we present a multi‐metric information‐theoretic framework that identifies candidate allosteric communication pathways from a single protein ...

Caring Behaviours in Nursing: A Bibliometric Analysis of Global Research Trends and Knowledge Structure. [PDF]

open access: yesScand J Caring Sci
ABSTRACT Background Caring behaviours constitute one of the most visible ways in which “caring” is translated into everyday nursing practice, yet the field has become increasingly heterogeneous across settings, outcomes, and conceptual traditions. A field‐level map is therefore needed to clarify how the literature has evolved and where it is currently ...

Schisandrin C Targets PPARγ to Induce Ferroptosis in Colorectal Cancer Cells and Promote M1 Macrophage Polarization

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
Schisandrin C: A Dual Anti‐Colorectal Cancer Strategy Targeting PPARγ. ABSTRACT Colorectal cancer (CRC) remains a leading cause of cancer mortality, necessitating novel therapeutic strategies. Schisandrin C (SinC), a bioactive lignan from Schisandra chinensis, exhibits diverse pharmacological activities, but its anti‐CRC mechanisms are poorly ...

First-order logic with metric betweenness – the case of non-definability of some graph classes

open access: yesAKCE International Journal of Graphs and Combinatorics
The metric betweenness of a connected graph and arbitrary graphs is FO definable. Moreover, several interesting classes of graphs with strong distance properties are shown to be FO definable using metric betweenness.

The Dynamics of Closeness and Betweenness [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Although both betweenness and closeness centrality are claimed to be important for the effectiveness of someone’s network position, it has not been comprehensively studied which networks emerge if actors strive to optimize their centrality in the ...
