Transit sets of -point crossover operators
-point crossover operators and their recombination sets are studied from different perspectives. We show that transit functions of -point crossover generate, for all , the same convexity as the interval function of the underlying graph.

Study of betweenness centrality and experimental evaluation of the SILVAN algorithm on complex networks [PDF]
openLa betweenness centrality (BC) è una metrica che misura la centralitá dei nodi in una rete, ovvero quanto sono importanti o centrali per i cammini minimi di un grafo.

A Grid Is Not a Tree: Toward a Reconciliation of Alexander’s and Martin’s Views of City Form
Christopher Alexander famously declared that “a city is not a tree,” while Leslie Martin declared that “the grid is [a] generator.” This article investigates how Alexander’s call for overlap, adaptability, and order can indeed be manifested in grid ...

Colour intensities and edge widths are chosen to reflect relative magnitude of betweenness measures. Yellow and thick edges have high betweenness scores, dark grey and thin edges have low betweenness scores. (A) The SP betweenness.

Alpha current flow betweenness centrality [PDF]
International audienceA class of centrality measures called betweenness centralities reflects degree of participation of edges or nodes in communication between different parts of the network. The original shortest-path betweenness centrality is based on

Centrality anomalies in complex networks as a result of model over-simplification
Tremendous advances have been made in our understanding of the properties and evolution of complex networks. These advances were initially driven by information-poor empirical networks and theoretical analysis of unweighted and undirected graphs ...

On betweenness-uniform graphs [PDF]
summary:The betweenness centrality of a vertex of a graph is the fraction of shortest paths between all pairs of vertices passing through that vertex. In this paper, we study properties and constructions of graphs whose vertices have the same value of ...

An Experimental Study on Centrality Measures Using Clustering
Graphs can be found in almost every part of modern life: social networks, road networks, biology, and so on. Finding the most important node is a vital issue.

The Crisis of Japanese Identity in the 21st Century and Watsuji Tetsurō’s Ethics
According to some thinkers, in the 21st century, the Japanese society is facing a crisis of values. The postmodern approach to the individual and society may be one of the causes of this problem.

AbstractIn this paper, we introduce an enactive account of loving as participatory sense-making inspired by the “I love to you” of the feminist philosopher Luce Irigaray. Emancipating from the fusionist concept of romantic love, which understands love as unity, we conceptualise loving as an existential engagement in a dialectic of encounter, in ...
