Oriental fruit fly, Bactrocera dorsalis (Diptera: Tephritidae), is an important worldwide crop pest. Little is known about the role of soil‐entomopathogens in mortality during pupation. We assessed the effects of standard potting soil, sterilized sand, and soil amended with beneficials (such as four fungal taxa and a nematode), separately and combined.
