Theretofore Highest Efficiency in Vacuum-Deposited Organic Solar Cells Originating From Triarylamine-Based Small-Molecule Donors Containing Fused Heterocycle Units. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh)
Fused‐ring engineering unlocks record efficiency in vacuum‐deposited organic solar cells. By replacing linear π‐bridges with fused‐ring analogues in triarylamine‐based donors, we achieve enhanced molecular planarity, red‐shift optical absorption, minimize energy loss and optimized phase separation.

3D Bioprinted Glioblastoma Multiforme Models: How the Extracellular Matrix Glycosignature Influences Drug Response

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Aberrant glycosylation in the glioblastoma tumor microenvironment drives therapeutic resistance. Here, a 3D bioprinted model was engineered by incorporating α‐NeuNAc‐(2→3)‐β‐D‐Gal‐ and chondroitin sulfate. Combined multiplex immunofluorescence and synchrotron‐based nanoCT analysis revealed that glycan‐matrix interactions dictate specific drug‐escape ...

Calculations of Positron Scattering from Boron, BH, BF, BF2, and BF3

open access: yesAtoms
The single-center convergent close-coupling (CCC) method is applied to calculate positron scattering from boron. A model potential approach is utilized to extract the positronium formation, direct ionization, and values between the positronium formation ...

Effects of breed and age on the performance of crossbred hill ewes sourced from Scottish Blackface dams

open access: yesAnimal, 2011
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of age and breed on the reproductive performance and lamb output of crossbred hill ewes relative to purebred Scottish Blackface (BF).

High‐Throughput Discovery of Quantum Frustrated Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Physics‐guided discovery of frustrated kagome and triangular magnets. ABSTRACT Geometrical frustration provides a fertile platform for realizing exotic quantum phases such as spin liquids, yet, the predictive identification of frustrated magnets remains limited.

Phase Behavior of the [N(C₂H₅)₄][BF₄]-[N(C₃H₇)₄][BF₄] Binary System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Phase behavior of the [N₂₂₂₂][BF₄]-[N₃₃₃₃][BF₄] (N₂₂₂₂⁺ = tetraethylammonium, and N₃₃₃₃⁺ = tetrapropylammonium, ) binary system has been investigated by differential scanning calorimetry and powder X-ray diffraction. Two solid-solid phase transitions are

Comparison of the longevity and lifetime performance of Scottish Blackface ewes and their crosses within hill sheep flocks

open access: yesAnimal, 2011
A study was undertaken to compare the longevity and lifetime lamb output of purebred Scottish Blackface (BF) ewes with a range of crossbred genotypes from Scottish BF dams. For up to five successive breeding seasons, 1143 Scottish BF, Swaledale × BF (SW ×

Multifunctional Neutrophil Nanovesicles Induce Remodeling of Tumor Immune Microenvironment and Synergistic Multimodal Tumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of the engineered RN@FDT for multimodal tumor therapy. a) Fabrication of FD&DOX/TFA‐loaded RGD‐NNV (RN@FDT) and the light‐triggered disassemble of RN@FDT. b) After internalized by tumor cells, RN@FDT are disintegrated under NIR‐II laser irradiation to boost PTT and induce cell apoptosis.

The Skyrme model predictions for the ${\bf 27}_{J=3/2}$ mass spectrum and the ${\bf 27}_{3/2}$-$\bar{\bf 10}$ mass splittings

open access: yes, 2004
The ${\bf 27}_{J=3/2}$-plet mass spectrum and the ${\bf 27}_{3/2}$-$\bar{\bf 10}$ mass splittings are computed in the framework of the minimal SU(3)$_f$ extended Skyrme model.
