Combustion Synthesis and Characterization of Bulk Nanocrystalline ${\bf Fe}_{\bf 88} {\bf Si}_{\bf 12}$ Alloy

IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology, 2010
Bulk nanocrystalline Fe88Si12 alloy is fabricated by a combustion synthesis processing that is convenient, low in cost, and capable of being scaled up. The Fe88Si12 alloy consists of two phases: ?-Fe(Si) and Fe3Si. It is a composite structure of meshwork dispersed in a matrix.

Aggregation of [Cu${{\bf }{{{\bf II}\hfill \atop \bf 4\hfill}}}$] Building Blocks into [Cu${{\bf }{{{\bf II}\hfill \atop \bf 8\hfill}}}$] Clusters or a [Cu${{\bf }{{{\bf II}\hfill \atop \bf 4\hfill}}}$] Chain through Subtle Chemical Control

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2004
AbstractCoordination complexes of the ligand H3L [1,3‐bis(3‐oxo‐3‐phenylpropionyl)‐2‐hydroxy‐5‐methylbenzene] with CuII are reported. Clusters showing various nuclearities or modes of supramolecular organization have been prepared by slightly changing the reaction conditions and have been crystallographically characterized. The reaction of H3L with one

Two BF F Subtypes, but no BF S, BF F1 or BF S07 Subdivision, Are Found by Isoelectric Focusing

Vox Sanguinis, 1989
Abstract. When studied by immunoelectrophoresis the factor B (BF)*F allele is a monomorphic protein, but by using isoelectric focusing (IEF), it turns out to be polymorphic. Two BF*F allelic subdivisions, BF*FA and BF*FB, were detected in samples from unrelated Spanish donors; *FA and *FB are in Hardy‐Weinberg equilibrium, segregate as autosomal ...

On the ergodic properties of Cartan flows in ergodic actions of ${\bf SL}_{\bf 2}{\bf (R)}$ and ${\bf SO}{\bf ({\bi n},1)}$

Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems, 1997
Let $G={\rm SL_2({\bf R})}$ (or $G={\rm SO}(n,1)$) act ergodically on a probability space $(X,m)$. We consider the ergodic properties of the flow $(X,m,\{g_t\})$, where $\{g_t\}$ is a Cartan subgroup of $G$. The geodesic flow on a compact Riemann surface is an example of such a flow; here $X=G/\Gamma$ is a transitive $G$-space, $G={\rm SL_2({\bf R ...

BF-tree

Proceedings of the VLDB Endowment, 2014
The increasing volume of time-based generated data and the shift in storage technologies suggest that we might need to reconsider indexing. Several workloads - like social and service monitoring - often include attributes with implicit clustering because of their time-dependent nature.

Boron Emitter Passivation With Al$_{\bf 2}$O $_{\bf 3}$ and Al$_{\bf 2}$O$_{\bf 3}$/SiN$_{\bm x}$ Stacks Using ALD Al$_{\bf 2}$O $_{\bf 3}$

IEEE Journal of Photovoltaics, 2013
Thin layers of Al2O3 are known to feature excellent passivation properties on highly boron-doped silicon surfaces. In this paper, we present a detailed study of the passivation quality of Al2O3 single layers and stacks of Al2O3 and antireflection SiNx on boron-doped emitters, where the Al2O3 was deposited by plasma-assisted atomic layer deposition and ...

BF-Classifier

Proceedings of the Audio Mostly 2015 on Interaction With Sound, 2015
Segmentation and classification is an important but time consuming part of the process of using soundscape recordings in sound design and research. Background and foreground are general classes referring to a signal's perceptual attributes, and used as a criteria by sound designers when segmenting sound files.

Modules M such that ${\rm {\bf Ext}}_{{\bf \textit{R}}}^{\bf{1}}{({\bf \textit{M}},-)}$ Commutes with Direct Limits

Algebras and Representation Theory, 2012
We will use Watts’s theorem together with Lenzing’s characterization of finitely presented modules via commuting properties of the induced tensor functor in order to study commuting properties of covariant Ext-functors.
