An Overview on the Nature of the Bounce in LQC and PQM
We present a review on some of the basic aspects concerning quantum cosmology in the presence of cut-off physics as it has emerged in the literature during the last fifteen years.

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Comparing equivalent gravities: common features and differences
We discuss equivalent representations of gravity in the framework of metric-affine geometries pointing out basic concepts from where these theories stem out.

Cosmological Particle Production in Quantum Gravity
Quantum theory of a test field on a quantum cosmological spacetime may be viewed as a theory of the test field on an emergent classical background.

Asymptotically Euclidean Bianchi IX metrics in quantum gravity
We present a class of exact self-dual metrics of Bianchi IX type with all directions unequal. Although asymptotically Euclidean they may not be considered as gravitational instantons since they contain singularities. This accords with the Positive Action Conjecture.

Clinical and Laboratory Characterization of Acquired Von Willebrand Syndrome
ABSTRACT Acquired von Willebrand Syndrome (AVWS) is a rare bleeding disorder characterized by quantitative or qualitative defects of von Willebrand factor (VWF) in patients without a personal or family history of bleeding. It is frequently associated with systemic diseases, particularly lymphoproliferative disorders (LPDs) and myeloproliferative ...

Ricci Flow of Biaxial Bianchi IX Metrics
We use the Ricci flow with surgery to study four-dimensional SU(2) x U(1)-symmetric metrics on a manifold with fixed boundary given by a squashed 3-sphere. Depending on the initial metric we show that the flow converges to either the Taub-Bolt or the Taub-NUT metric, the latter case potentially requiring surgery at some point in the evolution.

Microwave‐assisted alcoholysis converts EVA into EVAOH terpolymers, promoting a progressive transition from EVA‐like crystallites to VOH‐rich hydrogen‐bonded crystalline domains. Solvent‐controlled swelling influences conversion kinetics, while thermal analysis reveals a sigmoidal increase in melting temperature that a two‐population crystallization ...

and Models: A Self-Similar Approach
We study the models and their particular case, the so-called -models under the self-similarity hypothesis. In particular, we calculate the exact form that each quantity may take in order that field equations (FEs) admit self-similar solutions.

Bianchi IX self-dual Einstein metrics and singular G 2 manifolds [PDF]
We construct explicit cohomogeneity two metrics of G_2 holonomy, which are foliated by twistor spaces. The twistor spaces are S^2 bundles over four-dimensional Bianchi IX Einstein metrics with self-dual (or anti-self-dual) Weyl tensor. Generically the 4-metric is of triaxial Bianchi IX type, with SU(2) isometry.
