Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Model Recalibration for Regional Bias Reduction in Dynamic Microsimulations
Dynamic microsimulations are tools to stochastically project (synthetic) microdata into the future. In spatial microsimulations, regional discrepancies are of particular interest and must be considered accordingly.

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

Bias-Reduced Haebara and Stocking–Lord Linking
Haebara and Stocking–Lord linking methods are frequently used to compare the distributions of two groups. Previous research has demonstrated that Haebara and Stocking–Lord linking can produce bias in estimated standard deviations and, to a smaller extent,

Home bias in global bond and equity markets: the role of real exchange rate volatility [PDF]
This paper focuses on the role of real exchange rate volatility as a driver of portfolio home bias, and in particular as an explanation for differences in home bias across financial assets.
