Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Least-squares modification of stokes’ formula with EGM08
Least-squares modification is an optimal method of modifying Stokes’ formula. This method can be categorized as a generalization of the spectral combination methods as it considers the truncation error of the integral formulas in its combination process.

Unbiased covariance estimation with interpolated data [PDF]
We study covariance estimation when compelled to use evenly spaced data which have already been manipulated by previous-tick interpolation. We propose an un- biased covariance estimator, which is designed to correct for the two biases arising because of ...

Penaksir Rasio Proporsi Yang Efisien Untuk Rata-rata Populasi Pada Sampling Acak Berstrata [PDF]
In this article we review three proportion ratio estimators for the population mean on stratified random sampling, i.e. traditional proportion ratio estimator, proportion ratio estimator using coefficient of regression, and proportion ratio estimator ...

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

Although economists have long been aware of Jensen's inequality, many econometric applications have neglected an important implication of it: under heteroskedasticity, the parameters of log-linearized models estimated by OLS lead to biased estimates of ...

Biased estimator channels for classical shadows
Extracting classical information from quantum systems is of fundamental importance, and classical shadows allow us to extract a large amount of information using relatively few measurements. Conventional shadow estimators are unbiased and thus agree with the true mean in expectation.

To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.
