Biaxial compression mechanical properties of HTPB propellant under dynamic loading

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2022
To study the biaxial compression mechanical properties of hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) solid propellants under dynamic loading, biaxial compression tests were carried out at room temperature (25 °C) with the strain rate ranging from 1 to 85 s−

Mechanical characterization of nanostructured thin films at different scales

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2010
The mechanical behaviour of multilayered W/Cu thin films on polyimide substrate has been investigated at different scales and using complementary X-ray techniques and compared to finite element analysis. Mechanical testing has been carried out using a

Parameter Variation in Planetary Ball Milling of Titanium Aluminide Powder in XHV‐Adequate Atmosphere

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates the effects of milling parameters, including rotational speed, milling duration, and ball‐to‐powder ratio, on TiAl particle size and morphology in an XHV‐equivalent atmosphere. The creation of oxide‐free surfaces enhances the mechanical properties of green bodies.
