Establishment of Subtrochanteric Fracture in Pre‐Clinical Animal Model

A clinically relevant and reproducible open fracture model at the subtrochanteric region of rabbits has been established. Post 6 weeks of fracture, MicroCT showed higher callus volume, and histology exhibited remodeled stage with a greater number of osteocyte cells.
