Double-edge scan wavefront metrology and its application in crystal diffraction wavefront measurements. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Synchrotron Radiat
An innovative double‐edge scan wavefront metrology method has been developed which can resolve the problem of high‐precision crystal absolute diffraction wavefront measurements. This method can be regarded as a critical feedback mechanism in the processing of next‐generation crystals.Achieving diffraction‐limited performance in fourth‐generation ...

Invariant manifolds near 1 and 2 in the quasi-bicircular problem [PDF]

open access: yesCelestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy, 2023
AbstractThis paper deals with direct transfers from the Earth to Halo orbits related to the translunar point. The gravitational influence of the Sun as a fourth body is taken under consideration by means of the Bicircular Problem (BCP), which is a periodic time dependent perturbation of the Restricted Three Body Problem (RTBP) that includes the direct ...

On the revealed preference analysis of stable aggregate matchings

open access: yesTheoretical Economics, Volume 17, Issue 4, Page 1651-1682, November 2022., 2022
Echenique, Lee, Shum, and Yenmez (2013) established the testable revealed preference restrictions for stable aggregate matching with transferable and nontransferable utility and for extremal stable matchings. In this paper, we rephrase their restrictions in terms of properties on a corresponding bipartite graph.

Innovation and the circular economy: A systematic literature review

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, Volume 30, Issue 8, Page 3686-3702, December 2021., 2021
Abstract The circular economy emerged as an alternative model to the linear system, which now appears to be reaching its physical limitations. To transition to a circular economy, companies must not only be aware of but also engage in more sustainable practices.

Tight bounds for popping algorithms

open access: yesRandom Structures &Algorithms, Volume 57, Issue 2, Page 371-392, September 2020., 2020
We sharpen run‐time analysis for algorithms under the partial rejection sampling framework. Our method yields improved bounds for: the cluster‐popping algorithm for approximating all‐terminal network reliability; the cycle‐popping algorithm for sampling rooted spanning trees; and the sink‐popping algorithm for sampling sink‐free orientations.

Families of Halo-like invariant tori around $$L_2$$ in the Earth-Moon Bicircular Problem

open access: yesCelestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy, 2021
The Bicircular Problem (BCP) is a periodic time dependent perturbation of the Earth-Moon Restricted Three-Body Problem that includes the direct gravitational effect of the Sun. In this paper we use the BCP to study the existence of Halo-like orbits around $L_{2}$ in the Earth-Moon system taking into account the perturbation of the Sun.

Extension of Spencer’s Circular Model to Stability Analysis of Landslides with Multicircular Slip Surfaces

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, Volume 2020, Issue 1, 2020., 2020
This paper presents a new limit equilibrium method based on analysis of landslides with multicircular slip surfaces in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, China. An important innovation of this method is that the rigid sliding mass is divided into numerous interrelated Spencer’s circles sharing the same factor of stability, so that each of them possesses ...

Motion of the Infinitesimal Variable Mass in the Generalized Circular Restricted Three‐Body Problem under the Effect of Asteroids Belt

open access: yesAdvances in Astronomy, Volume 2020, Issue 1, 2020., 2020
The present paper deals with the study of the motion’s properties of the infinitesimal variable mass body moving in the same orbital plan as two massive bodies (considered as primaries). It is assumed that the massive bodies have radiating effects, have oblate shapes, and are moving in circular orbits around their common center of mass.
