New Fixed Point Results in F‐Quasi‐Metric Spaces and an Application

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, Volume 2020, Issue 1, 2020., 2020
The main goal of the present paper is to obtain several fixed point theorems in the framework of F‐quasi‐metric spaces, which is an extension of F‐metric spaces. Also, a Hausdorff δ‐distance in these spaces is introduced, and a coincidence point theorem regarding this distance is proved.

UNIQUE FIXED POINT THEOREMS FOR CONTRACTIVE MAPS TYPE IN T 0 -QUASI-METRIC SPACES [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In [2], Agyingi proved that every generalized contractive mapping defined in a q-spherically complete T 0 -ultra-quasi-metric space has a unique fixed point.

On the Category of Props [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Categorical Structures, 2012
The category of (colored) props is an enhancement of the category of colored operads, and thus of the category of small categories. The titular category has nice formal properties: it is bicomplete and is a symmetric monoidal category, with monoidal ...

Bicompletions of Distance Matrices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In the practice of information extraction, the input data are usually arranged into pattern matrices, and analyzed by the methods of linear algebra and statistics, such as principal component analysis. In some applications, the tacit assumptions of these methods lead to wrong results.

Ultra‐Quasi‐Metrically Tight Extensions of Ultra‐Quasi‐Metric Spaces

open access: yesChinese Journal of Mathematics, Volume 2015, Issue 1, 2015., 2015
The concept of the tight extension of a metric space was introduced and studied by Dress. It is known that Dress theory is equivalent to the theory of the injective hull of a metric space independently discussed by Isbell some years earlier. Dress showed in particular that for a metric space X the tight extension TX is maximal among the tight ...

On Quasi‐Pseudometric Type Spaces

open access: yesChinese Journal of Mathematics, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
We introduce the concept of a quasi‐pseudometric type space and prove some fixed point theorems. Moreover, we connect this concept to the existing notion of quasi‐cone metric space.

Permutative categories, multicategories and algebraicK–theory [PDF]

open access: yesAlgebraic & Geometric Topology, 2007
We show that the $K$-theory construction of arXiv:math/0403403, which preserves multiplicative structure, extends to a symmetric monoidal closed bicomplete source category, with the multiplicative structure still preserved.

A Characterization of Completeness via Absolutely Convergent Series and the Weierstrass Test in Asymmetric Normed Semilinear Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
Asymmetric normed semilinear spaces are studied. A description of biBanach, left K‐sequentially complete, and Smyth complete asymmetric normed semilinear spaces is provided and three appropriate notions of absolute convergence in the asymmetric normed framework are introduced.

Sobrification and bicompletion of totally bounded quasi-uniform spaces [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Proceedings of the Cambridge Philosophical Society, 1987
AbstractWe observe that if is a compatible totally bounded quasi-uniformity on a T0-space (X,), then the bicompletion of (X, ) is a strongly sober, locally quasicompact space. It follows that the b-closure S of (X, ) in is homeomorphic to the sobrification of the space (X, ).
