ABSTRACT This research proposes a sensitivity‐based framework for selecting the optimal prescribed loading path for a biaxial cruciform specimen. Optimality here is determined by the direction and magnitude of the prescribed displacement that minimizes the influence of random noise on the material model parameter identification.

Super-resolution for terrain modeling using deep learning in high mountain Asia
High Mountain Asia (HMA) is characterized by some of the most complex and rugged terrain conditions in the world. However, high resolution terrain data are not easy to quickly acquire from the area due to difficulties in accessing the region.

Partial Volume Reduction by Interpolation with Reverse Diffusion
Many medical images suffer from the partial volume effect where a boundary between two structures of interest falls in the midst of a voxel giving a signal value that is a mixture of the two. We propose a method to restore the ideal boundary by splitting

Software Implementation of Optimized Bicubic Interpolated Scan Conversion in Echocardiography
This paper introduces a novel approach leveraging objective image quality assessment (IQA) metrics to optimize the outcomes of traditional bicubic (BIC) image interpolation and interpolated scan conversion algorithms. Specifically, feature selection through line chart data visualization and computing the IQA metrics scores are used to estimate the IQA ...

Applying single-image super-resolution for the enhancement of deep-water bathymetry
We present research using single-image super-resolution (SISR) algorithms to enhance knowledge of the seafloor using the 1-minute GEBCO 2014 grid when 100m grids from high-resolution sonar systems are available for training.
