The Hardware Realization of the Bicubic Interpolation Enlargement Algorithm Based on FPGA

There is an improvement to the Bicubic interpolation enlargement algorithm based on the hardware parallel processing in this article. Search table method used in this paper has avoided massive cubic and the floating numbers multiply operation. It reduces the computation load greatly.

In this paper, we propose a novel bicubic method for digital image interpolation. Since the conventional bicubic method does not consider image local features, the interpolated images obtained by the conventional bicubic method often have a blurring problem.

Monotone Piecewise Bicubic Interpolation

In a 1980 paper [SIAM J. Numer. Anal., 17 (1980), pp. 238–246] the authors developed a univariate piecewise cubic interpolation algorithm which produces a monotone interpolant to monotone data. This paper is an extension of those results to monotone $\mathcal{C}^1 $ piecewise bicubic interpolation to data on a rectangular mesh.

Bumpless monotonic bicubic interpolation for MOSFET device modelling

A bumpless monotonic bicubic interpolation (MBI) technique is proposed. The method is applied to MOSFET device modelling for guessing at a very smooth interpolated curved surface. Monotonic increase in a two-dimensional surface can be held, even if the actual device characteristics show steepest change, like punchthrough characteristics.
