Structure and Function of Sabinene Synthase, a Monoterpene Cyclase That Generates a Highly Strained [3.1.0] Bicyclic Product. [PDF]
Sabinene is a plant natural product with a distinctive strained [3.1.0] bicyclic ring system that is used commercially as a spicy and pine-like fragrance with citrus undertones. This unusual monoterpene has also been studied as an antifungal and anti-inflammatory agent as well as a next-generation biofuel.

The kinetics of the gas-phase reactions of selected monoterpenes and cyclo-alkenes with ozone and the NO3 radical [PDF]
The relative rate method has been used to measure the room-temperature rate constants for the gasphase reactions of ozone and NO3 with selected monoterpenes and cyclo-alkenes with structural similarities to monoterpenes.

Recent Advances in Ene Reactions with Carbon Enophiles
Recent advances in the classical intra‐ and intermolecular ene nexus with carbon enophiles (alkenes, alkynes, arynes, and allenes) show a considerable increase in structural complexity and an enormous potential for functional applications in polymer science.

Photoredox‐Catalyzed Synthesis of a Novel Class of Fluoroalkyl Pyrazolones
A photoredox strategy enables regioselective synthesis of fluoroalkyl 2‐pyrazolin‐5‐ones via radical addition and cyclization. This mild, metal‐free method shows a broad substrate scope, operates in batch and flow systems, and offers a sustainable approach to fluorinated heterocycles with potential applications in medicinal chemistry.

Exploring Unspecific Peroxygenase Selectivity with Diverse Hydrocarbon Substrates
Unspecific peroxygenases (UPOs) are versatile enzymes that can be used for different reactions. However, selectivity of UPOs needs to be evaluated for the desired application. Thus, the selectivity of a panel of UPOs was evaluated in this work, and it revealed diverse reactivity profiles depending on the enzyme and substrate.

Cyclization mechanism of monoterpenes catalyzed by monoterpene synthases in dipterocarpaceae
Monoterpenoids are typically present in the secretory tissues of higher plants, and their biosynthesis is catalyzed by the action of monoterpene synthases (MTSs). However, the knowledge about these enzymes is restricted in a few plant species.
